Miss Cristina Evans
Cristina's background is based in environmental science and mathematics; with a 1st Class Honours BSc. Geography and Mathematics from the University of St Andrews and a Distinction MSc. Environmental Monitoring, Modelling and Management from King's College London. Her research throughout these degrees was based on applying fluid dynamics models to environmental problems.
This research is continued in her PhD which involves the creation of a numerical model describing water movement in floodplain soils. This will allow her to investigate the role of the climate on soil-water distribution and exchange, with a view to assess the impact of climate change on riparian trees. This research is supervised by Dr Michael Singer and Professor David Dritschel at the University of St Andrews.
