Miss Emily Reid
Tree-Ring Laboratory Technician

I recently graduated with a BSc in Environmental Earth Sciences from the University of St Andrews. In my final year, my dissertation investigated how trees in Scotland will respond to a future, warmer world using a number of dendrochronological techniques. This developed my interest in the uses of dendrochronology to evaluate the effects of climate change.

Since graduating I have taken up a post working as the tree ring laboratory technician, where I am working on a project investigating the intensification of droughts in South America.
